2014 IRNE Nominations for “Driving Miss Daisy” and “Invisible Man”

Lindsay Crouse (as Daisy Werthen) and Johnny Lee Davenport (as Hoke Colburn) have been nominated for Best Actress and Best Actor, respectively, for a Midsize Theatre for their work in "Driving Miss Daisy." Benny Sato Ambush has also received a nomination for Best Director as has Gloucester Stage for Best Production.

The Independent reviewers of New England released their IRNE Awards nominations on February 15, 2014. Johnny Lee Davenport has been honored with two nominations for his work in 2013 for The Huntington Theatre’s production of Invisible Man and Gloucester Stage’s production of Driving Miss Daisy.

Johnny Lee Davenport plays Lucius Brockway (one of the seven roles plus ensemble he portrayed) with Teagle Bougere as Invisible Man. For their work in the Huntington Theatre Company’s epic production of “Invisible Man,” Davenport has been nominated for Best Supporting Actor Large Theatre and Bougere has been nominated for Best Actor Large Theatre.
